Sunflowers: My 1st Halloween Look 10/31/13

Hi guys!  I grew up not celebrating any holidays or birthdays due to religious beliefs.  I have long since left that religion and have finally started to enjoy and celebrate life in general.  I have dressed my children in costumes for Halloween but I have never done anything on myself or worn any type of costume.  I would say it's not about me anymore, it's about my kids and making sure they have fun.  This year, I turned 30.  I wanted to join in on all the fun and festivities.  I had so many ideas on all kinds of looks.  When I woke up this morning, I made my final decision on what I was going to do for the makeup look of the day.  I turned my eyes into Sunflowers.  Keep in mind, this is my very 1st time doing any kind of fantasy makeup.  So here is the look I created, 30 years in the making.

First, I applied MAC Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Gel and MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance to my face and allowed each to absorb.  Then, I applied MAC Matchmaster Foundation in 3.0 all over my face with a foundation brush.  I took Sephora Waterproof Contour Eye Pencil in Tiramisu and drew a circle around the entire lid, above the crease and all the way around the eye and filled it in.  Next, I took Sephora Waterproof Contour Eye Pencil in Cappuccino and applied it on top of Tiramisu.  I used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Lucky and started the petals all the way around the eyes, trying to keep them even in size and shape on both eyes.  Using a small eye shadow brush, I applied Sugarpill Flamepoint Pressed Eye Shadow on top of Lucky.  Then, I used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Eldorado inside each petal under/inside the Lucky color combination.  For depth, I used an angled eye liner brush to apply Sugarpill Love + Pressed Eye Shadow on the outside of each petal surrounding the Lucky combination.  Next, I took a small eye shadow brush and used Sugarpill Buttercupcake Pressed Eye Shadow to fill in the petals.  In the center of each petal, I used NYX Milk Jumbo Eye Pencil and dabbed it on as a sticky base for Sugarpill Elektro Cute Sparkling Neon Pigment in Hi-Viz.  For the green accent leaves, I used NYX Cucumber Jumbo Eye Pencil as a sticky base for Sugarpill Sparkage Elektro Cute Sparkling Neon Pigment.  I took MAC Emerald Sea Powerpoint Eye Pencil and used it to outline and define the leaves.  I coated the lashes with Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Extra Black Mascara.

I used a tiny bit of Make Up For Ever Mat Bronze Bronzing Powder in shade 20 on the hollows of my cheeks.  With all that I had going on in the eye area, I opted for a more subtle lip.  I used NYX Mauve Lipliner Pencil, MAC Mocha lipstick (satin) and Tarte Achiote Maracuja Divine Shine Lip Gloss.  To complete and set the look, I spritzed Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray all over my face.
