First, Lit Cosmetics had a special BOGO Free sale that I decided to take advantage of. I was very happy with the beautiful colors and options available. You should definitely check out Lit Cosmetics if you are interested in adding glitter to your makeup collection. I bought: Peacock, Mother Earth, California Soul, Flower Power, Cayman, Theodora, Seeing Stars, and Wonder Woman.
From NARS Cosmetics, I purchased the Ita Brush and Waimea Velvet Lip Liner during the 20% off sale. The brush is slightly scratchy and I have experienced some bristle fall out during use. However, the functionality of the brush is above par in that due to its nature, the brush is able to pick up a healthy amount of product while still being able to blend it out flawlessly. The lip liner is not as soft as I would have imagined with a name like Velvet. Nonetheless, it still applies smoothly and evenly and has strong pigmentation. It does serve it's purpose, to make lip stick last longer and prevent bleeding. I am happy with both of these products.
From Sephora, I received the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar palette. I am including swatches for you guys to check out. Honestly, I don't really recommend this palette. The pigmentation isn't as intense as I would have liked. You really have to pack on the color if you want to see the color that is in the pan. This might be better for lighter skin tones than mine. Also, the shadows are very powdery. You loosen the product with every brush stroke and it flies all over the place. It's nowhere near the awesomeness that the original one is. All in all, I am really disappointed in this product and don't encourage you to pick it up.
From Sephora, I ordered the Make Up For Ever Give In To Me Makeup Kit: Inspired By The Movie Fifty Shades Of Grey, Living Proof Primed & Ready Set and the Stila In The Light palette. I have used the Make Up For Ever set and like the other eye shadows in the brand, these are phenomenal! I truly have no regrets about this purchase and look forward to sharing looks with you using these products. If you are able to pick up the set, I highly encourage you to do so. I struggled getting a good shot of the lipstick. It's a really great color, not bright or dark, just simply a pretty, more natural leaning color. The Living Proof Set is actually to replace the Prime that I have just about finished. I am so in love with Prime! It really does help extend your hair style well beyond the norm. Prime has now become something I must have when I straighten my hair. The set was a great deal being on sale and 20% off. The Stila palette is so beautiful in person. I haven't tried this on yet but I will post looks I create with it here for you all to see.
